Melanie Berger (°1979, France) is a French artist living and working in Brussels (BE) since 2015. Her artistic practice focuses on drawing, exploring the interaction between appearing and disappearing of elements and surface.

After graduating in 2003 from the prestigious “École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs” (ENSAD) in Paris (FR), she started her artistic career making animated movies, before devoting herself entirely to drawing in 2010.

Mélanie Berger’s work has been included in a number of group and solo exhibitions in Belgium and abroad, such as “Interstices” (2008, BBB, Toulouse, FR), “RSVP” (2010,Aspex, Portsmouth, UK), “Between us” (2013, Institut Français, Cologne, GE), “Twee” (2016, Clovis XV, Brussels, BE),  “Drawing Room” (2016, Montpellier, FR), “Architextures d’espaces” (2017,Château d’Oiron, FR) and a solo show at Été 78 (2017, Brussels, BE).

At this moment Melanie Berger’s work is shown during a solo exhibition in Galerie du Haut Pavé, Paris, (FR) as from September 27th till October 21st.
